Ultrasound Cavitation

Ultrasonic cavitation, also called ultrasonic lipolysis, is a body contouring treatment that is used to remove fat deposits under your skin. This procedure is a safer alternative to surgical options, like liposuction. The treatment uses ultrasound waves to break apart fat cells, which are then absorbed into your body by your lymphatic system.

Ultrasonic cavitation is different than other similar treatments, such as ultrasound liposuction, because it doesn’t require any incisions. This means recovery is easier. It also means that results might be less noticeable.

Ultrasonic cavitation is considered an elective cosmetic procedure. That means that you’ll have to pay for the treatment, as well as any associated costs, completely out of pocket. Insurance doesn’t typically cover body contouring, which includes ultrasound cavitation.

The average cost can vary widely and depends on how many treatments you need. Each body is unique in how they will respond to cavitation.

Ultrasonic cavitation appeals to many people partly because recovery time is minimal.   This treatment is advertised as a “lunch break procedure,” meaning that your appointment can usually be completed in less than an hour. You can drive immediately afterward, and you can even return directly to work after having it done.

Ultrasonic cavitation relies on ultrasound technology to break apart fat cells.

Ultrasound waves are sent deep into the layers of your skin, causing a disruptive vibration. Fat cells then break apart from each other and are dislodged from your dermal layers.

After a few days, the fat cells are absorbed by your lymphatic system and drained as waste from your body.

Yes, ultrasound fat cavitation provides real, measurable results. You’ll be able to see how much circumference you’ve lost using a tape measure — or by simply looking in the mirror.

However, keep in mind that it only works in certain areas, and you won’t see overnight results. Be patient, because you’ll see your best results weeks or months after treatment.

The results will also vary based on your health history, body type, and other unique factors. These factors affect not only the results you see but how long they’ll last.

You might see results after just one treatment. However, most people will need multiple treatments before they get the results they’re hoping for.

The ideal candidate for ultrasonic cavitation is in good overall health, does not smoke, and has realistic expectations.

The best way to know you’re a candidate for ultrasound fat cavitation is to book a consultation.  However, if you have these following conditions, you may not be an ideal candidate.

People with bleeding problems shouldn’t do this treatment. Certain health problems, like heart or liver disease, will mean you’re not a good candidate either. If you’re nursing or pregnant, you should also avoid it.

Medical implants in the body will exclude you from treatment. These might include cochlear implants, pacemakers, and more.

Ultrasound cavitation is not a weight loss procedure. It reduces fat cells, and the body loses inches. This isn’t as simple as just stepping into an office and getting the procedure done. You’ll need to commit to keeping your side of the deal so you can get good results.

This includes eating healthy, drinking plenty of water, and exercising regularly before and after your treatments. The more water you drink, the easier it becomes for your body to get rid of the fatty acids that your fat cells turn into.

You can expect to pay for multiple sessions, each of which may cost a few hundred dollars.

It’s important to not try to cut corners on the cost of this procedure. If you opt for the cheapest clinic, you probably won’t get the best results. As with all things, you get what you pay for.

However, you’ll also make sure the cost of treatment won’t interrupt your treatment. Budget for multiple treatments, so your financial situation won’t hinder you from reaching your goals.

To make your results last longer, you’ll need a great diet and plenty of regular exercise. If your calorie intake rises above your body’s chances to burn off fat, you’ll see the fat come back.

Cavitation is not a stand alone treatment.  It works best when packaged along with Laser Lipo, Radio Frequency Skin Tightening, Wood Therapy, and/or Cupping (Vacuum Therapy).
